FROM THE FIELD TO THE FLOOR
Coach Joe Pearson's roots are in Winston-Salem, where he grew up immersed in sports—especially football. After graduating from Parkland High School, he took the JuCo route through Southern Miss and eventually earned his degree from Guilford College.
During college, Joe earned All-Conference honors, was selected to the All-American Bowl, and was ranked the #53 center in the country by CBS Sports. He chased the NFL dream—competed at the combine, got in some workouts—but when the call didn't come, he transitioned to the AFL and IFL, where he continued playing the game he loved.
After stepping away from football in 2015, coaching found him. That journey eventually led to launching The Strength Feed in 2017—and by 2021, the gym had grown into the incredible facility it is today.
The Strength Feed has always been about developing both sides: performance and character, strength and resilience, athletes and the community around them. That's the heart of who they are—and why they always say, "Feed Both Sides."
